Kettler's Giro series is designed for people who want a cheaper machine but without sacrificing quality for which this brand is known. Although other manufacturers cooperate with China for ages, this model is still marked as "Made in German". It means that you can still buy a quality upright exercise bike for a budget of around $500.

To be honest, for approximate same amount of money, you can buy much better, modern and sturdy bike from Diamondback Fitness. For instance, it could be the 510ub upright bike, which comes with an industry leading warranty.

Kettler Giro P Exercise Bike Review

Kettler advertised the Giro P as a Programmable Upright Exercise Bike. I'm not sure why, since all their models are programmable (more or less). Probably they want you notice that you can get this feature at such a low price. The advanced programming can be set such that your heart rate reading automatically adjusts the resistance setting to dial in to your ideal workout intensity level and maximize the workout benefits. Heart rate can be measured via the telemetric hand grip sensors , via the optional infrared ear clip sensor or via the optional wireless Polar T-34 chest strap transmitter.

The thick padded, high back, contoured seat with lumber support provides a comfort and proper ergonomic positioning. Heavy 17.6 lbs flywheel delivers smooth operation. Moreover the poly "V" drive belt drive system yields silent operation. It requires no-maintenance.

A brief description of the Giro P would be as follow: beautiful materials, comfortable design, high-grade components, advanced programming and affordable price for German quality.
